Thrifting on a Saturday

Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a great day today. It is a beautiful day here in East TN. My boyfriend and I went out thrifting and looking around.. Found a cute little basket and a very nice jewelry box.

Then we went out to eat at KFC had the buffet, it was pretty good.. We got a couple of bags of candy just in case we have Trick-or-Treaters tonight.. Kirk is planning on going and watching the TN game with his buddies.... So I am thinking about tackling this house and getting some organizing done tonight.. I really need to.. Bad!!! I am on my new laptop that Kirk got me.. I have to say I like this one.. It is really fast.. Just have to get used to it..

Oh I got another goodie in the mail today.. I got a sample size Secret Clinical Deodorant.. Wasn't expecting that.. So far from allure.com I have received a full size Cover-girl Mascara, a trial size Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner. And now my little Deo.. Do the happy dance...lol...:)  It's bad when you get happy over freebies in the mail.. But I love getting freebies and samples.. They are out there, ya just have to know where to look!!!

I need to get on the ball with my couponing.. I have a ton of inserts, but right now everything is so dis-organized where I have been working so much lately. That is on my to-do list for tonight also.. That and cleaning the house.. And just trying to get something done around here.. I have slacked off in the cleaning dept.. And it shows.. I won't let anyone come into this house until I get it cleaned back up again.. That is gonna be my major chore for tonight..

Rainy Day Wednesday

Well it's another rainy day here in East TN.. Getting ready to head off to work.. Just wanted to drop by and check in.

Me and my gf from work got out last night about 2am and went DD'ing.. Didn't find anything but had fun together. We are gonna keep at it until we find something. I am in a lot of DD groups on Facebook and you should see the pics these people post of their hauls.. I want! I want! lol..

I shipped all my yerdle shipments off on Tuesday. Got an email from Yerdle telling me they had canceled two of my orders because I didn't get my shipments to UPS in time.. Ohh! That made me mad. Anyways, I sent them a nice little email back explaining that yes I did get my orders there on time. And finally when they saw that I had I finally got my points where I "gave" my stuff away. I was starting to get really upset and started to give them negative feedback. But all worked out, so I can and will probably use them again to get rid of unwanted stuff.. Or I am thinking about just posting them on facebook in the online yard sales.. Does anyone ever do that?/ The online yard sales?? I love my tanning bed that I got off of my local online yard sale.. been using it every other day so that I don't get burned.

Happy Yerdling

It has been one busy morning.. I got off work at 6am.. I knew I had a dr apt at 11am, so I decided just to sit up and go to the dr and try to get my Yerdle stuff shipped..

Well I had to go buy some boxes.. Hit Target up and bought a couple of boxes.. Spent about $8 bucks on boxes and washi tape.. Finally got back to the house and started packing these boxes to get out so that the people that bought my stuff can actually get their packages on time.. Man there is a lot more to this than I thought.. It's not that I'm lazy or nothing, but after working all night long.. I really don't feel like staying up and packing boxes then gotta go find the UPS store around here!! lol.. Which I still haven't done..

So, anyways I think I will let my procrastination win on this one and just take the packages to UPS tomorrow.. Of course the last day that I have to get them out!! But I am so tired and sleepy, that I have to get at least a couple hours of sleep in..

Anyways, gotta catch some ZZZZZZZZ's.. Have you tried YERDLE yet?? It's fun... well I like the shopping part best.. but I think I will get better at the "giving" part once I get my butt in gear and stop procrastinating..

'Tis the Season

Lord this weather change has killed me!! Here I go off to work sick as a dog.. Throat sore and coughing my head off... I dread the next 12 hours..

I just wanted to say hi to anybody reading.. I am off the next two days, but have so much to do.. I hopefully can get all my Yerdle Shipments to UPS on time.. I have to find our local UPS store and hope everything goes smooth.. I will let yall know.. The labels that I printed out from Yerdle, well let's just hope they work.. that's all I am going to say... If they don't work like they are supposed to then I will not be using them again..

I will update with pics and let you guys know.. For now I have to jump off here and get ready for work. Wish me luck! I am going to need it tonight.. I hope everything goes ok..

Couponing At Rite Aid

Well I couldn't resist and had to run to Rite Aid and do some couponing.. Of course it was the LAST day of the weekly sale.. And just about everything was cleared out..

But I did get lucky enough to get the Playtex deal and the Loreal Mascara deal that I was wanting.. Spent a little more out of pocket than I wanted to, but had Plenti points to cover the biggest of it.. The way I calculated it I was only supposed to spend like $8 bucks oop but I ended up spending $12 and getting $11 back in PP'S (plenti points)

Here is a lil pic of my deals that I got for today Saturday Oct. 24th

Not too bad for just getting back into couponing and re-building my stockpile..
 I got 3 Pantene's they were 3/$12  used a $5/3 coupon making them $7 for 3 got back 300 pps($3 in pps)..

 I got 4 boxes of the Playtex Sport Tampons for 2/$7 used(2) $3/2 coupons.. so it was $14-$6=$8..  .. got back 600 pps ($6) so ($8-$6=$2).. good deal on those..

 I got a Loreal Mascara for 40% off and used a coupon I got thru Rite Aid facebook.. the mascara after the 40% was $4.97 used a $3/1 internet printable making that mascara $1.97!!! great deal on Loreal!!

I went ahead and got the Buttercream HairColor just because I needed to color my hair.. It was 4.99 and I used a $2/1 coupon on it and got it for $2.99 no points back on that one!! :(

And I found some things that were on clearance.. The toothbrush was $1.19 the Lotion was regularly 6.49 and I got it for $1.62 on clearance..
And I also picked up some light bulbs that were BOGO.. They were $5.49... All in all I was happy with what I bought..

I like adding to my stockpile.. Because it really does come in handy when you need it or if something happens (like a job loss that happened to me a while back)...

It's one of those days

Hey yall! Haven't posted in a couple of days. Just wanted to check in, in case someone is reading this...lol... Oh this change in the weather is killing me.. I woke up feeling awful.. had to come on in to work.. That is where I am now.. (shhh don't tell).. feeling like crap, trying to keep my spirits up and keep a good attitude..

I hate having to come on in to work feeling bad.. but there is no way that I can miss even one day of work.. I have to keep my bills paid..

Anyways, on to a different subject.. Been doing a lot of the Yerdle.com.. Getting rid of a lot of my stuff.. It's kinda fun.. I like browsing.. I have gotten rid of a lot of books, and a few things I had sitting in the kitchen that I never use.. I can't wait to get my points for the items so that I can start shopping.. I only have like 20(yerdle dollars) left to spend and I want more!! I have been getting things packed and ready to ship.. Oh one other thing with yerdle that I didn't know was you have to print the shipping label off yourself.. I didn't know that I thought they sent it to you.. So yes, you have to print the shipping label off yourself. .But you can use regular printer paper.. And just tape in on to your packages.. I will post some pics when I get home and show you what I have gotten ready so far..

On a Good Note

Oh yesterday was a great day for me.. I got home from work (crappy night at work ) got online.. Checking my facebook.. Just looking around on some of my group pages.. Went to one of my online yard sale pages.. And I got a tanning canopy (not a full tanning bed) for FREE (no cash).. Well not fully free.. I traded my used treadmill for it!!

It was rather a good deal on both sides.. In my opinion.. Because I was getting ready to list my treadmill to sell because I wasn't using it anymore.. And it was taking up too much space in my bedroom!!! When low and behold.. There she was!! First post too.. All shiny and pretty!!

And turned out that the wonderful gal that posted it was only a couple of blocks (if that!) down the road from me.. She was pleased and I am very pleased..

Hi guys! I finally figured out how to import my pics from my digital camera to my laptop! Yea, Me!! lol.. I told you that I was technically challenged!

I wanted to show you a couple of homemade binders and planners that I used last year.. just to give you some ideas.. The home management/work planner I really used for a long time. I am now on the look-out for something better! And if I can't find anything, I guess I will just have to make my own the way that I like it!

Here is my binder I made for my crochet patterns when I was first learning how to crochet! This binder has a ton of patterns that I got free online! I made so many cute hats, scarves, fingerless gloves, etc... It's the season to start making homemade presents again! Do you like to crochet? or knit? I would love to learn to knit.. Guess I will hit up YouTube!!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my pics.. I know it's not much, but it was fun to make and handy to use! But I am ready to make my planners more update and better looking! Time to buy some washi, labeler, stickers,etc!

Couponing Day!

Hey guys! Having a pretty good day here so far. It's 12:25pm.. Can you believe I am up and moving around? lol

Well I was laying around the house, on facebook messing around.. I was checking out some of my couponing groups that I am in.. And I decided to get off my butt and go get some DEALS!!! I haven't couponed in over a year because I had couponed so much last year that I had a good sized stockpile and really didn't have the time or the extra money to put into adding to it.. So, we lived off of that stockpile for a whole year.. and now it's looking puney.. And I am ready to build it back up again.

So I went to Rite Aid which is luckily right beside where I live.. Had my deals already picked out and coupons cut.. I didn't have any Plenti points to start with.. So I had to spend money to make money back.. But still got some great deals.. Spent $36.27 and got back $20 in Plenti Points!! So that wasn't too bad, considering I had no PP's to start with! So...my next trip should be way better and maybe I can get my oop (out of pocket) price way lower!! We shall see!

If I can figure out how, I will post some pics on here of my stockpile that I had... Just to let you know it is possible to make a crappy wage and still have stuff you need around the house.. I usually just buy toiletries with my coupons.. Because they never have any good food coupons.

That was last year's!! But it really lasted us quite awhile. and I had fun giving away gift bags full of goodies to my friends and family! Am hoping to build my stockpile back up to at least that full!

Wow! What a Day...

Well what a crappy day it has been for me.. I slept most of my day away!! I cannot believe I woke up at like 6pm! Of course.. it's my day off!! Never fails.. seems like when you have a day off from work finally.. They fly by.. But when you are at work, it slowly crawls by!! oh well whatever!

What have you guys been up to today?? I am on my third cup of coffee and it's 9:20pm.. Well I guess that's what I get for always staying up late and researching other blogs!! It's bad when I spend most of my time reading other's blogs instead of focusing on my own.. But there is such a wealth of info out there, that I get drawn in so easily. I have got to get some laundry done. And I wanted to go Couponing today at Rite Aid.. I had my list and coupons cut and everything...And that didn't happen..

I am kinda down on myself for sleeping all day!! Oh well.. Might as well get over it and get some work done around here.. I need to get this house in order LIKE NOW!!

How do you guys stay organized if you work Third Shift?? How are your sleep schedules,etc?
Even if you don't work third shift how do you stay organized? Do you use a planner? I love planners.

I told you about the Filo-fax I got from Yerdle.  It is so smaller than what I wanted, so I am on the look out for a larger one! Probably go for a used one.. Can't afford the price tag for a brand new one.

I have all kinds of homemade binders I have made for home management/work. But I haven't been using it anymore.. I need to get on the ball and start planning again.. It really helped me to focus when I write everything down! Even if I don't get my whole To-do list done, at least I get some of it done.. Or at least I was when I was using my Binder!! I will post a pic of it when I get my bf to show my how to upload photos from my digital camera.. lol.. I am not technically inclined like most people my age!!

HOME finally!

Good Morning! I am so TIRED!!! Just got off work. Worked a 3 night stretch (12hr shifts).. Man am I glad to be OFF work for the next two days!!! And I am NOT answering that phone for nothing!!! It was one long weekend!!!

Anyways, can you tell I'm glad to be off work??? lol... I finally got my Filo-fax that I ordered through Yerdle.com yesterday!! I was glad to see the package in my mailbox, but it was not as described. It was WAY smaller than the picture.. it's more like an address book! oh well, I guess I still can't complain. Only paid $2 shipping for it!! I will just have to be on the lookout for another one! I was going to do homemade printable inserts for it and set it up the way I wanted it!! But I will just find me another one!!!

Well I am off to check out some blogs! And then hop in the BED!! Take Care!!

More Rainy Day Ramblings and Soul Searching

Hi yall! Just thought I would drop by and post a lil note to say HEY!! I am fixin' to get ready for work. I work 6pm-6am as a caregiver at an Assisted Living Facility.. Went to work last night and we had a lot more staff than usual, so I got a "short" night and got to come home at 10pm. That was nice.. But tonight it will be my full 12 hour shift.. But that's ok, I am well rested and ready take on the night!!

I have been doing a lot of researching on blogs, writing, etc. I am trying to find my way in this huge blogosphere and it is tough! I am using this free site to feel my way through and decide if this is something that I really want to commit to or just a hobby! I love to read blogs. There are so many wonderful blogs out there and just about everything you can imagine. And that got me thinking, "what do I have to contribute?". I am just a normal working woman like most people. Nothing about me stands out. I do not have a degree in anything! I am not a writer, although I love to read! Reading has always been a passion of mine. And I have always dreamed of writing books like those I love to read, but I don't have the skills for it!

I never went to college, other than training to get my CNA.. which was just a class! I graduated high school.. then went straight to the workforce. I don't make a lot of money at my job, I call myself "a survivor", because that is basically what I do month to month... SURVIVE!! I pay all my bills and what's left I live off of!!!

So I have to do some deep soul searching and figure out what it is that I want in my life! I am 41yrs old! I want to do something with my life before I die.. I don't want to be famous.. And I don't want to make millions!! I just want to live better than I do right now.. I am grateful to God for providing for me each and every day! I have a roof over my head (a rented roof, but hey still a roof) and food in my belly!! I drive a used car.. That we have to keep maintenance up on constantly, but it gets me to work and back to make that almighty dollar $$$.. So, I cannot complain!! I just know there has to be more to living than what I am doing! And it's time for me to either change or learn new skills to get me the LIFE I want!!! If God will's it, then it will be!!

I guess it's time for some soul searching and some praying that God will lead me and that I will recognize "it" when He does!! God Bless yall! Love to the world on this Rainy Saturday Evening!!

My Day

Well it's been a few days since I posted on here.. I have been working the last few days and now it's my day off.. seems like it's so hard to drag myself out of sleep when you work this shift!! I have got to start doing better! I feel like I am sleeping my life away! And there are so many things I would like to do and get done around my house.

Today was my payday. So I go online to check and see how much I got paid after taxes seeing as I had 12 hours overtime this payday.. Wow, what a bummer!!! I was thinking that my check would be way bigger than what it was.. such a let down. Then I checked my bank statement and saw where one of the items I ordered online waited to take their money out the day they shipped instead of just taking it out the day I ordered the item!! So it overdrafted my account!!! That really ticked me off.. All for a large sum of $2 for the shipping!! I ended having to pay $36 for that measly little $2.. Now if that just didn't start my day off on the wrong foot!!!! Anyways, I'm over it now.. but at the time I was like so mad.. I have got to sit down and make a budget and get my finances in order. I work full time, but still struggle to make ends meet.. I hate that feeling! I would love to be able not to worry about stuff just one day!

I am back to work starting tomorrow and have to work all weekend (12 hr shifts), so it's going to be a long weekend.. I really dread it.. I work as a caregiver in an assisted living facility. I barely make above minimum wage. I wish they paid better where I work. That is why I am all the time looking for side-hustles and extra ways to make money or to get the things I need!

Still waiting on that filo-fax I ordered thru Yerdle   It hasn't come yet! They sent me an email on the 2nd saying that it has been shipped! I hope it comes soon.. Oh, but I did get a surprise in the mail today.. It tickled me to death because I never WIN anything.. I won a free CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara through the Allure website. They have contests like everyday. And I was one of the winners of their cosmetic giveaway they had!!! I was so happy.. that is bad when you get excited over a mascara.. But it was just one other thing that I didn't have to spend money on! lol.. anyways, it doesn't take much to amuse me!! lol..

Do you guys ever try to get free samples/free products thru websites.. one of the best websites I have found here lately is Freebie Shark    I use Julie's freebies too.. I like getting free samples and stuff.. I have a basket designated just for my freebies.. and a bookshelf for my coupon items! (stockpile).. I need to get on the ball and start couponing again.. And listing deals on here so yall can get them too!

Work time

Fixen to head off to work here in just a bit! Thought I would stop in and say hi to whoever reads this! If anyone.. It's a Monday!!! I couldn't sleep last night, as usual.. Almost missed my dr appt. UGH!! The life of a graveyard shift worker...

I haven't had time to do too much of anything today.. I am wolfing down some toast before I leave for work.. Just to keep the hunger pains away for a while.. Does anyone else that works third shift have weight issues?? I gained so much weight when I first started working 3rd shift! I guess where our eating habits are backward.. But here in the last couple of months I can see a change.. I stopped drinking Mtn. Dew for one! That helped extremely well!! Now I just drink my tea and water!! Oh and my coffee!! I couldn't make it thru a 12 hour shift without my coffee!!! lol.

Well I hope everyone has a good night! It's my long week, so I will be real busy this week with work. But I will still make time to blog everyday.. Even if they are short posts. I have so much to learn still about the blogging world.. But am having fun so far learning!! Can't wait till I can get my own domain and have it looking nice.. I love reading blogs! I spend more time reading other people's blogs than I ever do on social media.. I am sick to death of Facebook.. I pop in on it every other day.. Just to check in with my kids that are moved out on their own!! Anyways, here I go rambling, when I need to be getting ready for work!! Hope everyone has a great day!! Talk to you later!

What I've Been Up To Today

Not too much of anything! lol.. It's been another rainy day here.. I have been off work these last few days. I am glad to have a break from work, but the bad thing about working 3rd shift is, you still stay on that schedule just as if you were at work. Well I do! I guess where I have been working that shift for going on 3 years now. It's kinda got me in the habit.

I hate when I can't sleep at night time. Then I sleep half the day away. Get up in the evening, make me a pot of coffee and then stay up the rest of the night! Sometimes it really makes you feel alienated from other people! Sometimes I feel as though life is passing me right on by. The weeks go by so fast, then months! But I guess that is life! And I am just grateful that I have a job in today's economy. So many people do not! It doesn't pay wonderful, but it does pay. And as long as I have a roof over my head and food in my belly. I am grateful!

Anyways, on to a different subject. I have been trying to clean my email out. It is so overly full! I am afraid that I might miss important emails. So I went back to using unrollme.com.  If you haven't heard of it, you should check it out! The main goal of it is to keep up with your subscriptions for you, instead of letting them clog your email. I really like it. Then if you want to check out something you have subscribed to like a blog (and I am sub'd to many blogs) you can just go to unrollme.com and read them there! Leaving your email free for other things! I have two emails. One is for work and home life. The other is for my freebies, surveys, etc. Mainly stuff that I don't have to read at that second!

I also received an email today from Yerdle.com letting me know my Filofax has been shipped and I should get it any day now! I can't wait. It's not brand new, it's used.. But that's ok with me. Because I plan on making my own inserts for it anyways. There is no way I can afford to dish out almost $100  for a new one! So used it is. It still has some of the inserts like notes, etc. But I am planning on making my own calendar for it and weekly sheets! There are so many unlimited resources online that I am sure I can find some great printables and print out everything I need! I'm kinda excited about it! I love planners and organizers! I have made plenty of binders for home-management and budgeting, etc. And I have been wanting a Filofax for a long time! And this one will be small enough to take with me wherever I go, instead of a big bulky binder!

Rainy Day Ramblings

Well it's a rainy day here in East Tn. Of course it is, it's my day off!! Never fails. I have been sitting here messing around on Swagbucks.com. I am trying to get to 500 SB's so I can get a $5 Amazon gift card. I am almost there with 441 SB's! lol.. 

I have been researching ways to make extra money online. It's sad when you work full time 12 hour shifts and still have to find ways to make extra money just to survive and get the bills paid. Oh how I wish I would have went on to college when I graduated high school!

 I made a lot of unwise choices when I was younger. That is just one of the many! Now I sit here at age 41 researching ways to make extra $$ just to keep afloat. But I take responsibility for my choices in life. And well, life will go on regardless.

What are some of the ways (if any) that you guys make extra money online or find ways to get what you need?? So far I have been doing Swagbucks.com and Yerdle.com. I am a part-time Swagbucker! (is that a word?) I do it on and off. I have used it plenty in the past though to get gift cards to buy books that I was interested in on Amazon. Mostly organizing and couponing books!!

Speaking of couponing; last year when I was doing private home health care and making decent money, I built up a stockpile. Not a great big one, mostly just toiletries. Like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, etc. But I am so glad I did because I ended up leaving that job and was out of work for about a month. And that stockpile really came in handy!

After I built up my stockpile, I quit couponing for a while. Well like a year. And now that my stockpile is almost depleted, I am ready to get started again. Even though it's not a way to make "extra money" it is a good way to save on things that you are going to buy anyways! And I love it when you can use your coupons to get free packs of razor's, toothpaste, shampoo, etc!

Sorry this blog post is so long. Thank you for reading this far if you have. And I am new to blogging and know that I am rambling on. But I figured this is the only way to get experience blogging is to just jump in and get started. So I know my posts are far from perfect. But I really enjoy blogging and have been wanting to do it for a very long time. But really never knew what I wanted to blog about. So I am just putting my thoughts out there! And hopefully soon I will find my way!

Organizing/ Cleaning

I used to be so anal about keeping my home clean and organized. Here lately, I don't know if it's where I work so much or what, but I have been letting things go. And now I am getting to where the clutter is starting to really get to me. So, since I need to post some things to Yerdle to give, I figured I might as well jump in there and start organizing my home again.

I will be posting some tips here and there and maybe some pics of my space before/after's to keep my self accountable. I will always list the resources to make sure I give proper credit to where the tip/idea came from.  I don't know about you but I love Pinterest. I get so many good ideas off of that site.  I have this great book that I bought with an Amazon gift card that I received through Swagbucks. It's called "What's a DisOrganized Person To Do?" by Stacey Platt.  It is an awesome resource. I love that book. She gives so many great tips and ideas. And it has plenty of pics of how she organizes different rooms.

Does anyone use Swagbucks to get gift cards?? It used to be easy to get a $5 Amazon Card, but now they have put the SB's up to 500.. It used to be 350 points would get you a $5 gift card. And I would use that toward a coupon or organizing book through Amazon.. Oh well I'm at 400 points right now, working my way toward 500.. Hey, every little bit helps. If I can do that to keep from spending cash, I'm gonna do it!! lol..

Anyways, sorry this post is so long.. Drop me a comment if any of yall use Swagbucks and tell me what you do to get SB's.. right now, I'm just doing like the daily poll, Noso's and the Discover or whatever it's called.. Sometimes i'll do a search and earn and get a few points here and there.. I don't see how some people get as many points as they do.. They really work at it I guess..
